After an unequivocal development of the first set Radek Stepanek threw in the towel in the seventeenth final of UniCredit Czech Open, in which he fought against Jan Hajek for the possibility to acquire the third title at the Prostejov’s challenger. The unlucky finalist commented on the cause of the defeat.

Why did you throw in the towel? "I felt sick at the beginning of the set but I hoped it would pass, however, then I had to go to the toilet and felt something was wrong today. I am sorry it all turned out like this but I couldn’t do anything about it. I hope to recover soon and go on with my comeback."
