The level of UniCredit Czech Open was the main topic of the final press conference with Miroslav Cernosek and Petra Pichalova-Langrova.

"We can be quite satisfied with the level of the tournament; I think we moved our standard a little higher again. In addition, Tomas Berdych delivered an amazing performance at Roland Garros and his appearance here in Prostejov was a wonderful culmination of the event," said the tournament director Petra Pichalova-Langrova in her final evaluation of the seventeenth year of UniCredit Czech Open.  "There were two Davis Cup representatives in the final and it is a great pity Radek had no power to continue, he was delivering a good performance in every match and we all wish him get healthy soon," added the tournament director.    
What Mr. Cernosek said? "I studied literature, theatre and film and that’s why I like stories and try to create them at the same time. Our tournament was a story with bad beginning due to rain but the ending was good and could be even better if Tomas Berdych won the semi-finals at Rolland Garros.  We had two Czech players in the final, we had a perfect exhibition with Ivan Lendl, we had Tomas Berdych at Centre court, yes, this event was a beautiful story."
